WELLESLEY — Advisory Committee reviews Town Clerk's FY27 budget amid three scheduled elections. Town Clerk KC Kato presented the FY27 budget request, highlighting costs associated with permanent vote-by-mail voting and three elections planned for the fiscal year: the state primary in September, the midterm election in November, and the annual Town election in March. Elections cost between $30,000 and $40,000 each to administer; the primary budget drivers are temporary and seasonal staffing and postage expenses.
Wellesley ranks fourth in the state for mail-in voting percentage. In liaison reports, the Council on Aging announced Holly Lucht as the selected director candidate.
