Human Resources Board · Meeting of June 1, 2026

Wellesley HR Board approves new IT position and two reclassifications. The board unanimously created a Level 7 Endpoint and Communications Administrator position in the IT Department to support the town's transition from Avaya to the Commonwealth's MassVoice platform. The board also unanimously reclassified the Records Manager position (Level 5) to Public Safety Records and Parking Manager (Level 7), with incumbent Cheryl Carlson advancing from step 2 to step 2 at the higher level; the consolidation moves parking administration into the Police Department, extending service availability beyond regular business hours.

The board additionally voted unanimously to reclassify the NRC Secretary position from Level 3 to Level 5, effective retroactively to July 1, 2025, after HR discovered the role had been undervalued during the original classification process.
