WELLESLEY — The Wellesley Board of Health convened online to approve prior minutes and receive departmental updates. Director Lenny Izzo reported on classroom temperature coordination with schools and an ongoing Kratom policy investigation prompted by recent Swellesley Report coverage. Board Vice Chair Linda Oliver Grape requested health department nurses develop a plan to present to families before school.

Nurse Supervisor Ann Marie McCauley reported lower COVID-19 numbers and minimal Cyclospora cases this year. Member Susie Eklund noted that a Kratom ban would be the strongest regulatory approach but acknowledged implementation challenges.
