Board of Registrars removes four voters registered at retail address
Miscellaneous Committees · Meeting of February 2, 2026
WELLESLEY — The Wellesley Board of Registrars unanimously removed four voters from the registration list after they were found using 396 Washington Street, a retail UPS Store location, as their voter address. Chair Mary (Tobey) Sullivan, Vice Chair KC Kato, John Duffy, and Clerk Paul Merry voted to strike Megan C. Bresnehan, Douglas Chrystall, Susan Wong, and Kathleen O'Donoghue.
Voters had been notified by certified letter in November and served summons for a public hearing in January. The board attributed the registrations in part to an RMV policy change effective January 1, 2023, under which eligible citizens are automatically registered during license transactions, and said going forward it will verify all new residential addresses with the Select Board and Building Department before adding them to the voter roll.
