WELLESLEY — Climate committee backs Hardy and Hunnewell solar without Town Meeting revote. The Wellesley Climate Action Committee voted unanimously to approve a memo to the Permanent Building Committee supporting rooftop solar installation at Hardy and Hunnewell schools using remaining construction funds, a step that protects critical Climate Leader Communities Grant funding and federal tax credit reimbursement. Town Counsel confirmed no additional vote is legally required.

The committee also unanimously approved a revised Master Collaboration Agreement with HomeWorks Energy and the CAC Report to Annual Town Meeting. Sustainability Director Dr. Marybeth Martello is organizing a geothermal forum on April 15 and a breakout session at the MassEnergize Conference on April 8.
