Wellesley climate committee backs fossil-fuel expansion, pursues Hardy Road pipeline review. The Climate Action Committee voted unanimously to co-sponsor a June 17 Sustainable Wellesley community event and reached consensus supporting expansion of the Fossil-Fuel-Free Demonstration Program from 10 to 20 municipalities. Chair Lise Olney will seek Attorney General guidance on whether electrification could replace a planned National Grid gas-pipe replacement on Hardy Road, citing utility "obligation to serve" restrictions.
The committee appointed Olney and Kenneth Largess to interview candidates for two appointments ending the terms of Sue Morris and Mary Gard.
