Wellesley Historical Commission designates Colonial Revival home as significant. The commission voted unanimously to determine 53 Hunnewell Street historically significant under architectural standards, imposing a 12-month demolition delay. Chair Michael Racette said he visited the property in person and found it architecturally interesting despite a 1954 garage addition and busy street context.
The board also approved a waiver for 39 Emerson Road on condition that Member Elizabeth Cahill coordinate with the applicant on side-elevation dormer revisions, and deferred 14 Heckle Street after public comment and staff concerns about excessive massing, overstated ridge height, and drawing inconsistencies. ===BRIEF===
