WELLESLEY — Historical Commission unanimously preserves two Wellesley homes. The 1937 residence at 37 Martin Road and the circa-1910 Sarah Young house at 31 Lantern Lane received 12-month demolition delays, with votes passing 7-0 on both determinations. The Commission approved a waiver for a Dutch Colonial revival home at 202 Cedar Street and continued review of a Colonial-style design at 25 Sheridan Road to March 9, requiring revised plans to address concerns about elevation geometry and window proportions.
The Commission also discussed a multifamily adaptive reuse project at 592 Washington Street, a former funeral home, requesting research into the building's historical significance.
