Wellesley Council on Aging advances three board candidates to Selectboard consideration. Chair Judy Gertler will present Corinne Monahan, Anne Rader, and Renee Spencer to the Selectboard on June 2 after the board voted unanimously to advance them. During the meeting, staff updated the board on capital projects including an American Legion audio-visual room upgrade completed at $24,000, well below a $50,000 original estimate thanks to equipment donations from Wellesley Media.
The board also discussed a Multi-Purpose Room tables project facing a $15,152 budget shortfall and noted lunch prices increased to $12, with the Friends of the COA subsidizing half the cost.
