Council on Aging approves $24K American Legion upgrade
Council on Aging · Meeting of February 19, 2026
WELLESLEY — Council on Aging unanimously approves $24K audio-visual upgrade for American Legion Room. The board authorized the expenditure, reducing the initial estimate of $60,000 through a revised plan using available equipment from Wellesley Media. Chair Judy Gertler thanked Kate Burnham, LICSW-Health and Social Services Administrator, for presenting services to Wellesley seniors age 60 and older, including case management and benefit eligibility screening.
The Director Search Subcommittee reported insufficient candidates for the reposted senior services director position and is exploring professional recruitment through an executive search consultant at anticipated costs under $20,000.
