Council on Aging hires new director, extends interim leader's compensation

Wellesley Council on Aging unanimously approves new director and extends interim chief's pay. The board approved the appointment of Sehar Kiani as the new Council on Aging director, effective May 11, 2026, following completion of salary and benefits negotiations. Chair Judy Gertler's board also unanimously extended interim director Kathy Savage's salary adjustment through July 10, 2026, and approved a one-week performance bonus pending Human Resources Board approval.

The board appointed Peter Grape as liaison to the Friends of the Wellesley Council on Aging and established a Nominating Committee of Grape, Corinne Monahan, and Tina Wang to develop a slate of officers.
