WELLESLEY — The Wellesley Council on Aging held a retreat to review board policies and governance structure on Sept. 16. Members discussed reducing board membership from 11 to 7 and implementing term limits but made no formal decisions. Chair Pat Decker was asked to consult with Select Board liaison Colette Aufranc on how such changes could be achieved.
The board agreed without objection to move the Nominating Committee's initial meeting to March from April, allowing May voting on the slate and officer orientation before July. Assistant Director K. Savage resigned effective Sept. 7; the position will be reposted once the job description review is complete.
