Council on Aging unanimously backs offer to Sehar Kiani as Senior Services director

Wellesley Council on Aging unanimously offers Senior Services director job to Sehar Kiani. Kiani, from the Dedham Senior Center, presented on creating welcoming senior environments and answered questions from board members including Chair Judy Gertler, Secretary Patricia Decker, and members Patty Chen, Tim Fulham, Bernard Horan, Margaret Lyne, Robert McCarthy, Barbara Searle, and Tina Wang. Board members noted her transition from assistant director to director role would require support from municipal staff; Gertler proposed coordinating with Decker and HR Director Dolores Hamilton on a support strategy.

The board voted 8-0 to offer the position pending reference checks and salary agreement.
