WELLESLEY — The Cultural Council defers all planning for grant-recipient events pending MAPC report. The council heard preliminary findings from MAPC consultants on a town-wide arts and culture strategy, identifying approximately 22 cultural venues and three recurring themes: disconnection among arts organizations, concentration of school-based activity, and barriers around space affordability and access. With approximately $7,120 in discretionary funds remaining, council members discussed a grant recipient reception and capacity-building workshop but agreed to wait for MAPC's final recommendations (expected April 2026) before formally allocating funds.
