Design Review Board approves six applications, continues residential development.

Wellesley Design Review Board approves five sign permits and one complex project. The Board unanimously approved special and standard sign permits for the Recycling and Disposal Facility, Down Under School of Yoga, C. Devon's Homes, and The Village Bank, along with a minor construction application for Village Bank awning removal recommended to preserve the historic building's character.
Chair Juann Khoory and the Board continued review of a 28-unit residential development at 16 Laurel Avenue, expressing concerns about architectural cohesion and recommending the building step down toward the residential zone. A Project of Significant Impact for 26 Washington Street was approved following revised design work that separated and made publicly accessible a tower element with simplified stone and copper roofing details.
