Design Review Board approves six sign permits and one garage addition
Design Review Board · Meeting of February 25, 2026
WELLESLEY — The Wellesley Design Review Board unanimously approved six sign permits and one large-house addition during a February 25 meeting led by Chair Juann Khoory. The board approved two library sign proposals from Welch and Bailey Sign with a recommendation to reduce book logo prominence and enlarge text for readability, plus three Washington Street commercial signs for Liliko, Beacon Bank's main elevation, and Beacon Bank's rear elevation. Architect Kent Duckham's three-car garage-and-in-law-suite addition at 48 Livermore Road also won unanimous approval with recommendations to study roofline and mass integration.
A proposed First Citizens Bank building at 26 Washington Street featuring Palladian architecture and a tower element was continued to a future meeting after board members raised concerns about the English garden fencing, tower integration, and material transitions.
