Wellesley Design Review Board approves two commercial projects unanimously. The board signed off on a sign permit for Heroes Fitness at 10 Prescott Street (14.8 square feet of black acrylic lettering, recommended to be positioned lower for visual hierarchy) and minor construction at 36 and 40 Washington Street (including new dark-bronze aluminum storefronts, new canopies, and improved lighting). Board Chair Juann Khoory recommended that address signage be integrated into the canopy design with individual floating letters without a backing plate; formal sign applications for the Washington Street project are expected at a future meeting.
Both applications passed 4-0.
