Early In-Person Voting Opens Saturday at Wellesley Town Hall

Early in-person voting for the 2026 State Primary Election opens Saturday, Aug. 22, at Wellesley Town Hall, giving residents a chance to cast ballots ahead of primary day as the marquee U.S. Senate race heads into its final stretch.

The town's News Flash confirmed that registered voters can vote early and in person at Town Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Saturday, part of the run-up to the 2026 State Primary Election. Separately, the town's Alert Center posted a field-status notice covering August 21 through 23 for residents checking on athletic-field conditions over the weekend.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

Wellesley Free Library has a run of programs on the calendar this week beyond its regular offerings. A virtual talk, "When Trees Testify: Reclaiming America's Black Botanical Legacy," with author Beronda Montgomery, runs Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 2 to 3 p.m., the same evening the library's Sci-Fi Book Club meets from 7 to 8 p.m. On Wednesday, Aug. 26, the library hosts "Modern Communication with Technology" from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Jackie's Room, and on Thursday, Aug. 27, a virtual event, "High Altitudes and High Stakes: A Miss Marple Mystery," features author Lucy Foley from 2 to 3 p.m. The library is closed all day Sunday, Aug. 23.
