Historic District Commission approves stoop and window replacements at Cottage Street
Historic District Commission · Meeting of May 5, 2026
WELLESLEY — Historic District Commission unanimously approves exterior work at 28 Cottage Street. The Commission voted 4-0 to grant a Certificate of Appropriateness for replacement of the front stoop with brick risers, bluestone treads with rock-edge finish, and wrought iron railings, along with new windows and a French door using antique red brick from Glen Gehrig Brick Company. Chair David Smith, Thomas Paine, BB Wood, and Christopher Spagnuolo were present; the Commission stipulated that any rear railing replacement match the front entry iron design.
The Commission also unanimously adopted the Fiscal Year 2027 meeting calendar and unanimously reappointed Christopher Spagnuolo to a three-year term extending to June 2029, with Vice Chair Meredith Angjeli's reappointment deferred to June so she could attend.
