Housing Trust Approves Minutes, Revises Five-Year Plan
Affordable Housing Trust · Meeting of September 10, 2026
Wellesley Affordable Housing Trust fine-tunes five-year plan, targets an October 16 vote. Chair Micah O'Neil and Trustees Kenneth C. Largess III, Holly Grace, Maura Renzella and Amy Leibowitz spent the September 10 meeting reconciling Largess's and Grace's edits to a consultant-drafted five-year action plan, agreeing the plan should keep flexibility on income limits rather than capping funding strictly at 80 percent or 100 percent of area median income.
Trustees also softened language calling the trust the "primary funding arm" of Community Preservation Act housing money, noting the Wellesley Housing Authority can now apply for CPA housing funds directly under special legislation. The board approved minutes from the April 10 and June 17, 2026 meetings unanimously; Renzella abstained on the May 22 minutes, having missed that meeting. Staff said the plan goes next to the outside consultant for a consistency review.
