Human Resources Board · Meeting of July 13, 2026

Wellesley Human Resources Board approves a van driver position and increases crossing guard pay. The Board voted unanimously to create a seasonal Bus Driver position for the Recreation Department at $20.00-$35.00 per hour to manage a 15-passenger van purchased with grant funding, reducing transportation costs for camps and recreation activities. In a second 5-0 vote, the Board approved a 3 percent wage increase for crossing guards, raising the hourly rate from $19.6998 to $20.2908 effective September 2.

The increase, already approved at Annual Town Meeting for FY27, reflects competitive compensation in surrounding communities.
