WELLESLEY — The Human Resources Board unanimously voted to withdraw support for Article 30, a proposed bylaw amendment that would have transferred authority over personnel policy approvals from Annual Town Meeting to the appointed HR Board. Chairman Anthony Bent, with Board members Julie Moore, Neal Goins, Gary Lieberman, and Shawn Baker present, heard Board member Shawn Baker outline mixed stakeholder feedback, including concerns about concentrating authority and the importance of maintaining Town Meeting's traditional oversight role. The board discussed reintroducing a revised version through a slower, more collaborative process with earlier stakeholder engagement, while redirecting focus to immediate HR policy updates.
