WELLESLEY — Municipal Light Board writes off $261,855 in uncollectible accounts. Director David Wood reported the write-offs target older customer balances where collection efforts have been exhausted, many involving moved customers or bankruptcy-related accounts, as part of a broader cleanup ahead of a new billing system implementation. Chair Ned Hall, Vice Chair Scott Bender, Secretary Paul L.

Criswell, and members Michael McManus and Jeff P. Wechsler voted unanimously to approve. The Board also unanimously adopted a formal appointment policy emphasizing merit and expertise, with an appointment subcommittee formed to interview candidates for an open seat.
