WELLESLEY — Municipal Light Board approves school heat pump incentives at $1,125 per cooling ton. Chair Edward (Ned) Hall and the four-member board unanimously backed a program capped at $200,000, subject to reconsideration, while continuing to evaluate the broader WeCare policy framework. The board also unanimously adopted the town's encroachment policy and heard updates on the Cedar Street Substation project, now progressing through switchgear installation and circuit transfer.
Director David Wood reported first-quarter FY26 revenues of $10.19 million and net operating income of approximately $682,000. An electronic bill delivery discount program targeting a July 1 launch will require a minimum usage threshold of 100 kilowatt-hours to qualify for the $8 monthly discount.
