WELLESLEY — The Wellesley Municipal Light Board unanimously approved a WeCare 100% rate adjustment adding 0.005 dollars per kilowatt-hour on top of the existing 4 percent premium, reflecting the MLP's renewable portfolio now at 86 percent non-carbon-emitting resources compared with 20 percent when the current rate was established. The adjustment will take effect following customer communications and Department of Public Utilities tariff filing. The Board unanimously established a subcommittee to interview candidates for an open board position.

The MLP achieved 365 days without a lost-time accident, and crews responded to a July 26 power outage affecting 1,091 customers on Benvenue Street, restoring service to most within one hour and to remaining customers by midnight.
