Natural Resources Commission elects Steve Park as new chair

WELLESLEY — Natural Resources Commission unanimously elects Steve Park as chair. Park, formerly vice chair, was nominated by Secretary Tom Hammond and seconded by Vice Chair Melinda Arias-Voci. The board also appointed Joe Schott as liaison to the Community Preservation Committee and Arias-Voci as liaison to the Wetlands Protection Committee.
Director Brandon Schmitt reported that pond dredging bids had been extended one week, with the project funded through a combination of NRC capital carryover, stormwater utility funds, and a CPC appropriation of up to 750,000 dollars or 50 percent of costs, whichever is less.
