WELLESLEY — Natural Resources Commission reviews design for Morses Pond Beach and Bathhouse project. The Commission reviewed site design for the Morses Pond Beach and Bathhouse project, approximately 50 percent complete in schematic design phase; Chair Steve Park and Secretary Joe Schott expressed preference for movable picnic-style tables over fixed cafe tables for event flexibility. An invasive species inventory identified bittersweet, buckthorns, and garlic mustard on the property; the Commission agreed to gather information on costs and strategies for invasive management before reaching final resolution.

The town announced 500,000 dollars in community project funding for regional tree planting and green infrastructure planning through a partnership with the Charles River Watershed Association and the Charles River Climate Compact.
