WELLESLEY — Permanent Building Committee advances Morses Pond recreation project to design development phase. The landscape-architect-led redesign consolidates play areas into one universally accessible playground for ages 5-12, enhances beach and site access, and opens waterfront views, coming in roughly $13,000 under supplemental budget. The committee also tackled timeline pressure on Hardy and Hunnewell solar projects, which must be substantially complete by November 15, 2027, to qualify for federal tax credits; Vice Chair Thomas Goemaat questioned contractor delays and FMD staff agreed to explore schedule acceleration.

Committee voted unanimously to approve $44,355 in Morses Pond design services and $12,300 in RDF administration commissioning work.
