Permanent Building Committee approves HVAC improvements, solar budgets under review

Permanent Building Committee · Meeting of January 8, 2026

WELLESLEY — Permanent Building Committee approves roughly $120,000 in Town Hall HVAC improvements. Chair Michael Tauer, Vice Chair Thomas Goemaat, Members Suzanne Littlefield and Jose Soliva unanimously approved CPR 134A for $46,623.45 and authorized design work on CPR 134B for approximately $77,515, addressing system effectiveness and unresolved HVAC concerns. School solar panel budgets for Hardy and Hunnewell schools were presented, with Hunnewell facing a cost shortfall requiring confirmation of municipal light plant financial commitment; the committee deferred all design work until full funding is confirmed and the School Committee votes in support.

Facilities Management Director Stephen Gagosian will provide a proposal for part-time Clerk of the Works services on the DPW RDF Administration Building project.
