Planning Board approves Large House Review at 31 Old Farm Road.
Planning Board · Meeting of May 4, 2026
WELLESLEY — Planning Board approves Large House Review for 31 Old Farm Road after resolving accessory dwelling unit concerns. The board voted unanimously to greenlight the project after Town Counsel confirmed that the building structure would prevent incorporation of a recreation room into the ADU. The board also unanimously approved a fractional assisted unit figure of 0.30686 for an inclusionary zoning special permit at 26 Washington Street, a 15,343-square-foot commercial development in Lower Falls Village; the applicant will contribute cash to the Wellesley Affordable Housing Trust instead of building an on-site affordable unit.
Chair Marc Charney proposed deferring the formal Lower Falls Area Study until September, a $50,000 project spanning six to twelve months, allowing time to procure a consultant.
