WELLESLEY — Planning Board backs $350K Comprehensive Plan warrant authorization. The Board voted 5-0 to place an appropriation for a Comprehensive Plan update on the Special Town Meeting warrant, with Planning Director Rob Watchilla to confirm the funding mechanism language. Vice Chair Thomas Taylor noted the net new ask is effectively $275,000 after accounting for $75,000 previously appropriated.

Watchilla, who met with four planning consultants, reported optimal projects run 14 to 18 months. The Board separately continued an Inclusionary Zoning Special Permit for 26 Washington Street and a Large House Review for 42 Oak Street to August 31, awaiting resolution on inclusionary zoning payments and Department of Public Works stormwater approval.
