Planning Board continues PSI review, debates design waiver, releases bond

WELLESLEY — Planning Board rejects design review waiver for large house project. The board voted 3-2 to deny LHR-26-02 at 31 Old Farm Road a waiver from Design Review Board review, despite applicant Architect Mike Durand and Engineer Brian Nelson arguing it would avoid conflicts with prior Historical Commission approvals. Members Thomas Taylor, Patricia Mallett, and James Roberti opposed setting a precedent for bypassing review, citing the advisory board's value and noting no prior waivers had been granted.
In separate action, the board unanimously released a $288,170 bond for LHR-24-03 at 110 Hundreds Road after confirming completion of all landscaping and hardscaping obligations.
