Playing Fields Task Force approves three new field applications for summer

Playing Fields Task Force · Meeting of March 13, 2026

WELLESLEY — The Playing Fields Task Force unanimously approved three new summer field applications for Wellesley municipal grounds. Chair Laurance Stuntz and seven voting members backed requests from Sun Life for a June 28 softball game at Diane Warren field, and two Terriers applications for a July 6-24 camp program and June 29-July 1 baseball skills clinic at Kelly field. After Soccer deferred its spring request, a conflict with Girls Lacrosse was resolved, allowing spring user permits to issue as previously moved.

School Committee member Linda Chow reported that team rooms construction is scheduled for early July delivery, Sprague bathrooms installation for summer completion, and pathway lighting upgrades targeted for fall 2026.
