School Committee approves $96.9M budget and solar projects for Hardy, Hunnewell.

Wellesley School Committee approves $96.9M budget with 3% increase over current year. The Committee unanimously voted to approve the fiscal 2027 operating budget of $96,856,075, and also unanimously approved a $1,078,363 cash capital budget for furniture, fixtures, equipment, and information technology. Chair Niki Ofenloch oversaw approval of solar panel projects for Hardy and Hunnewell buildings using existing remaining project funds.
Discussion items including Advanced Placement self-study policy changes and Evolutions program restructuring were deferred for voting at the next meeting; wellness policy revisions will also be voted on subsequently.
