Wellesley School Committee approves wellness policy revision and honors Advanced Placement expansion. Superintendent David Lussier and his team secured unanimous or near-unanimous votes on three initiatives: revised School Wellness Policy guidelines (4-0, with one member unable to vote due to connectivity), Advanced Placement self-study option for 11th and 12th graders (5-0), and Evolutions program block reductions designed to boost enrollment at Wellesley High School (5-0). The committee also reviewed the FY'26 second-quarter financial report showing 57 students in out-of-district placements with five additional placements projected in the budget.
The last day of the 2025-2026 school year was rescheduled to June 22, 2026, following recent snow closures. School Committee Vice Chair Sharon Clarke and Member Christina Horner concluded their final meeting before the March 3 town elections.
