School Committee discusses Town Meeting budget presentation.

School Committee · Meeting of March 31, 2026

WELLESLEY — School Committee readied for Town Meeting discussion of the proposed budget. Chair Niki Ofenloch and Superintendent David Lussier will answer questions during the public vote, which will be up-or-down with no line-item amendments permitted. The Committee discussed enrollment decline affecting the district and neighboring towns, class-size management tied to neighborhood schools, and comparable communities' recent budget reductions and overrides.

Ofenloch confirmed demographic studies for Wellesley will be available around April 14, and Vice Chair Linda Chow noted that potential Mass Bay property development will not affect next year's budget.
