Wellesley School Committee advances air conditioning design funding for fall meeting. The committee voted unanimously 5-0 to seek approximately $1.425 million in design funding, with construction to follow in a subsequent warrant. Member Linda Chow noted that a citizens petition related to air conditioning is expected to move forward separately.
The committee also approved state-required Policy JKAA on student restraint and seclusion procedures in a 4-0 vote, and advanced a placeholder allowing 10-year transportation contracts, approved 5-0.
