WELLESLEY — The Select Board unanimously approved the Fire Department Feasibility Study Project Proposal Form, advancing planning toward a new headquarters estimated at $65 to $73 million with a target completion date near 2033. The Master Plan identified deficiencies in both existing stations and recommended replacing Station 1 at 156 Weston Road (North 40) while renovating Station 2 as a substation. Chair Marjorie Freiman emphasized that further public engagement will precede any final site determination, including a public charrette on October 1 and continued deliberation at the September 15 Board meeting.

The Board also unanimously approved policy updates to the Indemnification Policy, Minutes Policy, and Marathon Bib Policy, and approved the November 9, 2026 Special Town Meeting warrant.
