Select Board · Meeting of April 6, 2026
Wellesley Select Board approves pro bono counsel for federal clean energy tax credits. The board unanimously voted to retain Lawyers for Good Government, Inc. to assist with accessing Inflation Reduction Act incentives through the Elective Pay process for solar projects at Hunnewell School, Hardy School, and the Recycling and Disposal Facility, with L4GG's services capped at 12 hours per project at no cost to the town beyond application fees. Sustainability Director Dr.
Marybeth Martello noted the engagement serves as a contingency pending responses to an April 14 tax-advisory RFP deadline. The board also unanimously approved a one-day special license for the Wellesley Historical Society's April 15 event and appointed Babson College officer Madison Cirillo as a Wellesley Special Police Officer through June 30, 2026.
