WELLESLEY — Select Board retains Freiman as chair, Ulfelder as vice chair. The Wellesley Select Board unanimously reelected Marjorie Freiman as chair and Tom Ulfelder as vice chair, both effective July 1, in votes emphasizing leadership continuity amid significant challenges facing the town. Kenneth Largess declined an offer to serve as vice chair, saying he wanted to maintain independence as the board navigates ongoing MassBay-related matters.

Freiman noted that while she had hoped to see newer board members move into leadership positions, the board's current work benefits from continuity.
