WELLESLEY — Select Board holds working retreat to address fiscal 2027 planning priorities. The June 30 session covered operational improvements including shifting the Friday Night Mail deadline from Friday to Thursday and expanding AI-assisted minute drafting, which has reduced preparation time to 35 to 40 minutes from two hours. Members prioritized capital planning enhancements for fiscal 2027, including a potential Capital Stabilization Fund, and identified the fire station master plan and Department of Public Works facility as major upcoming projects.

The Board discontinued semi-monthly office hours in favor of targeted community outreach and confirmed that current staffing is appropriate for the workload. The Board scheduled a continuation session for July 22.
