Trails Committee approves dog waste initiative, considers wetlands protection letter.

Wellesley Trails Committee unanimously backs a Recreation Committee dog waste management plan for Brook Path and Centennial at no cost to the trails budget. Rick Mongeau presided over the March 2 meeting at which committee members voted unanimously to review and draft a supportive letter regarding the proposed 49 Walnut Park development, with Diane Hall assigned to circulate draft language by email for approval and submission to the Wetlands Protection Committee by March 12. The Natural Resources Commission indicated willingness to explore connecting a new river trail at the development site to the existing system.
