WELLESLEY — Zoning Board continues Wellesley College residence hall hearing, requests details. The board deferred voting on the college's application for site plan approval and a special permit to construct five single-story dormitory buildings housing 150 students on Central Street, continuing the hearing to March 5, 2026. Chairman J.
Randolph Becker stated the board required a detailed construction management narrative covering fencing security, construction days, materials storage, sequencing, and worker parking, consistent with requirements for other institutional projects. Applicant Justin Mosca, representing VHB engineering, agreed to submit the additional documentation by February 26 and noted the project timeline was sensitive because modular buildings needed to be secured in production. The project would demolish Dower Hall and provide temporary swing space for college renovations over an estimated 8-to-10-year occupancy.
