Wellesley housing board schedules June 18 session to finalize strategic plan comments
WELLESLEY — June 5, 2025 — Wellesley's Housing Development Corporation added a June 18 meeting to finalize comments on the town's draft Strategic Housing Plan before a July 3 submission deadline. Meeting June 5 with members Micah O'Neill, Marjorie Fryman and Holly Grace in person and Mike Nillis remote, the board agreed it could not reach consensus at its regular July 3 session and set the special meeting for 8 a.m. Members also discussed state-owned MassBay Community College parking land off Oakland Street, which the Commonwealth can develop as of right at four units per acre under the Affordable Homes Act, with DCAM project manager Mike Filoni assigned to the site. "There's no affordability requirements," one member noted, urging a negotiated development agreement. The board will also recommend Housing Authority appointments to the Select Board's June 24 meeting.
