Wellesley Posts Unofficial Primary Results as Markey Turns Back Moulton
WELLESLEY — Wellesley posted unofficial results from Tuesday's Massachusetts state primary late that night, capping a day in which registered voters chose the candidates who will appear on November's ballot for governor, lieutenant governor, U.S. Senate and U.S. House.
TOWN HALL The town's unofficial primary results were posted to the News Flash page at 10:52 p.m. Tuesday, following a full day of in-person voting across Wellesley's precincts. The statewide primary determined the fall ballot for four top races, a story Wellesley Patch also covered Tuesday night, reporting that Sen. Ed Markey turned back Rep. Seth Moulton for the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination and that Minogue won the Republican gubernatorial primary, setting up a November matchup against Gov. Maura Healey.
COMMUNITY & ARTS Wellesley Free Library's fall calendar picks up pace this week. "Welcome to the Graveyard," a program for adults, young adults and teens, runs Tuesday, September 8, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Wakelin Room. The Charles River Sinfonietta performs at the library Sunday, September 13, from 2 to 4 p.m., also in the Wakelin Room.
