Wellesley Sets Stage for September 1 Primary Election
WELLESLEY — Massachusetts' primary election reaches Wellesley on Tuesday, September 1, and Town Hall has posted key information for registered voters ahead of Election Day.

The town's News Flash confirms that Massachusetts Primary Election Day falls on Tuesday, September 1, when registered voters will cast primary ballots for candidates running for elected office. Residents can find polling details on the town's website.
In an update to the closure announced earlier this week, the Department of Public Works said new team rooms for the Hunnewell Track & Field athletic complex began arriving August 27. The Smith Street parking lot and the Brook Path behind the field remain closed through August 30 while crews complete the installation.

The Wellesley Free Library rounds out the last weekend before school starts with a run of programs. On Friday, August 28, adults can join "Taking Great Photos with Your iPhone" from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Wakelin Room, while tweens and kids can try "Secret Codes & AI Detectives" in Jackie's Room during the same hour. Kids get an "Off to School Celebration" that afternoon from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. in the Wakelin Room. On Saturday, August 29, the library hosts "The Great Zodiac River Race," an all-ages program from 2 to 4 p.m., also in the Wakelin Room.

The library's "Wellesley Writers' Circle" begins its first session Thursday, September 3, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Arnold Room.
