Wellesley Wetlands Protection Committee denies Walnut Street multi-family development on stormwater grounds. Chair Eleanor McLane and member Doug Hersh voted to deny the Notice of Intent, with member Eben Scanlon opposed; member Jim Mclaren was ineligible. A peer review identified fundamental design deficiencies in the stormwater infiltration system and porous-pavement calculations, and the Committee found the applicant's alternatives analysis inadequate.
In other business, the Committee approved four applications and continued seven matters to July 9, including a contested wetland-boundary dispute at 9 Standish Road where abutters filed a competing delineation.
