Wetlands Protection Committee approves minor design change at 28 Manor Avenue

Wetlands Protection Committee · Meeting of May 7, 2026

Wellesley Wetlands Protection Committee approves revised foundation design at 28 Manor Avenue. The committee voted unanimously to allow conventional underpinning limited to the front and rear of the structure with interior excavation, substantially reducing environmental disturbance compared to the original full-perimeter screw underpinning design. Chair Eleanor McLane and the panel also approved a motion to delegate committee signatures to NRC Administrator Brandon Schmitt by a 5-0 vote.

Eight other active projects — including high-stakes proposals at 45 Windsor Road and 45 Stanford Road involving tree removals, impervious surface expansion, and riparian zone work — were continued to May 28, 2026, pending revised mitigation plans and peer-review responses from town departments.
