Zoning Board approves Chunyong Lin home rebuild; renews three college permits

Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of January 8, 2026

Wellesley Zoning Board unanimously approves Chunyong Lin home rebuild on undersized lot. The three-member panel voted to allow demolition and reconstruction of a 2-story residence at 13 Fells Road on a 9,982 square foot lot in a 10,000 square foot district, with Board member Walter B. Adams noting the project does not increase existing nonconformities.

The Board also unanimously renewed three Wellesley College special permits for student and faculty housing, and approved expansion of the Wellesley Historical Society's event capacity to 75 people per gathering, up to 20 events annually, subject to a 9 pm ending time. A proposed parking modification at 679 Worcester Street was rejected as requiring full public hearing rather than administrative approval.
