Advisory Committee briefed on water and sewer rate benchmarking
WELLESLEY — November 13, 2024 — Advisory Committee hears utility benchmarking update, flags possible borrowing for Morses Pond studies. Staff presenter Christina Doherty described an inter-municipal effort comparing Wellesley's water and sewer rates against peer towns and sharing fleet data so communities can "learn from each other." She told the committee that while several capital items are already funded, an irrigation study tied to the Morses Pond ("Mopo") design may need supplemental appropriations, warning that "there is going to be some additional studies that need to be supplemented from town."
